Hi, I’m Elizabeth
I’m a Perth copywriter, social media manager, digital marketer and freelance journalist aka your go-to Communications Queen, Social Media Wizard or Words WingWoman.
So you’ve landed here to see if I have what it takes to fill those blank pages on your new website, write copy for your corporate communications, or manage content for your socials.
I get it. Finding the right words for your business is tough.
Your business is your baby and you want to work with someone you trust. Someone that is reliable. Someone that will deliver.
Because you and I both know how important your website, marketing, and social media presence can be.
It’s your digital shop front. Your first date with a potential customer. Your handshake. Your elevator pitch. And first impressions are everything, right?
What I love most about my job is being able to help time-poor business owners, like you, serve up killer content that converts, and make marketing an enjoyable, stress-free experience.
My no-nonsense approach, knack for writing punchy, personality-packed and persuasive copy is what will help drive your business forward.
I communicate your brand through…
What’s my story?
Keen to know more about the blonde-haired/ sometimes brunette gal behind Elizabeth Fabri Communications?
Words have always been my thing.
Social media, too, since the dawn of MSN and Myspace where I spent many nights honing my, ahem, skills, cleverly crafting my profile(s).
You see, my idea of fun growing up was reading books, learning html coding to “pimp out” my social media page, building my own website and writing blogs. I was obsessed with words and the new digital world I was living in and had to immerse myself completely.
Flash forward to 2019, and nothing has changed really (well, a few things including my eyebrows and wardrobe, but that’s another story).
I still spend oodles of time on social media and love writing. But now work with businesses like you to help put your best foot forward and create content that truly captures the essence of your brand and connects with consumers.
but have i got the goods?
I’ve got some pretty expensive pieces of paper with my name on it including:
Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia majoring in English (2009-2011)
Masters in International Journalism from the University of Western Australia (2012)
Copywriting Essentials course through the Australian Writers Centre (2018)
I’m also a proud member of The Clever Copywriting Community, where I continue to sharpen my pencil learning from the crème de la crème of copywriters across Australia.
we all know experience is key, so here’s a rundown of some of my career highlights.
In 2013, I landed my first professional gig as an advertorial writer and reporter for Community Newspaper Group after completing a six-month internship at The Sunday Times/PerthNow.
Newspapers were fun and there were many perks (I was the resident restaurant reviewer- the dream, right?). But I’d always wanted to give magazines a go, and after a year and a half at CNG, I moved onto my next job at Scoop Publishing – a luxury publishing house with nine magazine titles across the homes and lifestyle industries.
At Scoop I found a passion for writing long-form features, and also flexed my skills in the digital space, uploaded content to the website, sent weekly newsletters, and wrote advertorials and online profiles for clients.
In 2016, I began my next role at The Australian Mining Review, The Australian Energy Review and The Australian Education Reporter where I spent three years. I wore many hats during my time here – journalist, social media manager, copywriter, subeditor, artwork coordinator and ultimately managing editor. I scored Employer of the Year three years in a row and proved to myself that I could write about anything. Even something that seemed so foreign at the time - mining, oil and gas.
Then I did something big. Something bold. I took a leap of faith and left my cushy full-time job behind to go out on my own. And ta-dah Elizabeth Fabri Communications was born.
So, you’ve heard my story… ready for me to tell yours?
